What it does

This skill lets an AI agent review a set of AI skills (a 'stack') that someone has composed with the Agentic Awesome Skills toolkit. When asked, the agent opens a review view (Workbench), checks exact skill IDs, catalog versions, target setup and proposed operations, and explains any mismatches or missing setup in plain language. It is explicitly designed to only review: it does not install, apply, recover or upload anything.

Great for

  • Developers who compose AAS skill stacks and want a second check before applying them
  • Teams auditing which skills and versions a proposed agent setup would use
  • Users who want a plain-language explanation of a stack manifest before any changes

Skip it if

  • Anyone wanting to install or apply skills directly, since this skill intentionally does not do that (it only previews)
  • Tasks unrelated to AAS stacks, which the skill says it should not activate for
  • Judging whether a skill is safe or suitable: the skill states that consistency checks do not prove suitability or author identity

Try asking

  • “Review the stack we just composed and show any missing setup or artifact mismatches.”
  • “Open the Workbench for the current session's stack and explain the proposed operations.”
  • “Check this exported stack manifest for catalog version mismatches before we apply it.”
Step-by-step guide: how to use AAS Stack ReviewerInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    aas-review-stack.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip aas-review-stack.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip aas-review-stack.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Ask for the review before any apply step; this skill only previews, so run actual installation separately after checking the output.
  • Provide the stack artifact in the session or import a local file so the agent has something concrete to review.
  • Treat the output as a consistency check, not a safety or authorship verdict, and verify any flagged items yourself.
