What it is

This project is a shared library of prompts-as-plugins for AI coding assistants. It contains 94 plugins with specialist agents, skills (reference guidance an agent loads when relevant), and commands (named workflows) covering areas like Python, JavaScript, code review, testing, infrastructure, and security. One Markdown source is adapted to Claude Code, OpenAI Codex CLI, Cursor, OpenCode, Antigravity CLI, GitHub Copilot, and Pi.

  • Register the marketplace in Claude Code and install the python-development plugin
  • Run the python-scaffold command to create a FastAPI service with tests in Claude Code
  • Install a single skill such as python-testing-patterns with the gh skill or npx skills command
  • Generate and link plugins for OpenCode, Copilot, Antigravity, or Pi with a make install target
  • Run static skill checks with plugin-eval on a skill folder

Great for

  • Developers who already use one of the listed AI coding tools and want ready-made specialist agents
  • Python or JavaScript/TypeScript developers looking for testing, packaging, or project setup guidance
  • Teams wanting a shared set of review and security-scanning workflows across different tools
  • People who want to install only individual skills without the full plugin set

Not ideal for

  • People who do not use any supported AI coding tool, since the components only run inside those harnesses
  • Anyone expecting the scores from the plugin-eval tool to prove a task will succeed, because the README says the LLM judge and Monte Carlo layers are experimental and not validated against human labels
  • Users wanting a fully stable, versioned release, since the README lists no latest release
Step-by-step guide: how to use wshobson/agentsInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

How to get it

  1. 1

    Install with a package manager

You'll need: Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, OpenCode, Copilot, Antigravity CLI, or Pi (depending on the tool you use) · GitHub CLI (gh 2.90 or later) for the gh skill route · Node.js and npm for the npx skills route · uv and Python 3.12 or later for the clone-and-install route

Claude Code: register marketplace (run inside Claude Code)

    /plugin marketplace add wshobson/agents

Claude Code: install Python plugin (run inside Claude Code)

    /plugin install python-development@claude-code-workflows

    Install a single skill

npx skills add wshobson/agents --skill python-testing-patterns

    Clone the repository

    gh repo clone wshobson/agents ~/agents
  2. 2

    Run it

    • Pick your coding tool and follow its setup route in the README
    • In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add wshobson/agents, then install python-development
    • Ask Claude to use the Python agents, or run /python-development:python-scaffold with a task description
    • For clone-based tools, run the matching make install-<tool> command from the repository folder
  3. 3

Get the most out of it

    • Use the capability matrix in docs/harnesses.md to see which components each tool supports
    • Browse the plugin catalog in docs/plugins.md to find plugins beyond the quick-start four
    • Use plugin-eval's static quick scoring on skills to check their structure without model calls
    • Check docs/agents.md for how model aliases such as opus, sonnet, and haiku map to each harness

Downloads

Strengths

  • Covers seven coding tools from one shared source of components
  • Large catalog: 94 plugins, 202 agents, 185 skills, and 105 commands according to the README
  • Offers a skills-only install route that does not require the full plugin set

Trade-offs

  • The README notes that available components depend on the installation route and each harness's limits, so features differ by tool
  • Some features (LLM judge, Monte Carlo evaluation) are experimental and may bill your Anthropic API account if ANTHROPIC_API_KEY is set
  • Pi agents need a separate subagent extension, and the Codex native and generated routes behave differently
