What it is
This is a self-hosted web app that watches the Xianyu second-hand marketplace for items matching your keywords, price range, and filters. It uses Playwright to browse the site and an AI model that accepts images to judge each new listing against your requirements. When something matches, it can send a notification through channels such as ntfy.sh, WeChat Work, Bark, or Telegram.
- Run several monitoring tasks at once, each with its own keywords, price limits, and filters
- Schedule recurring checks with Cron expressions
- Have the AI review new listings and send alerts only for matches
- Browse, search, and export past results from a web dashboard
Great for
- People hunting for specific second-hand items on Xianyu over time
- Users comfortable running a Docker container and editing a .env file
- Anyone who wants AI-based judgment of listings rather than keyword alerts alone
- Users who can supply an OpenAI-compatible API key that accepts image input
Not ideal for
- Users who do not want to manage a server or Docker setup, since the README assumes self-hosting
- Anyone expecting a guaranteed scraper that avoids account restrictions; the README warns that frequent requests may get accounts limited
- Users who need a fully offline tool, because the AI analysis calls an external model API
- Users outside China who want a polished English-first experience; the main README is in Chinese, with a separate English README
How to get it
- 1
Run with Docker
You'll need: Docker
Clone the repository and enter it
git clone https://github.com/Usagi-org/ai-goofish-monitor && cd ai-goofish-monitorCreate the environment file
cp .env.example .envStart the containers in the background
docker compose up -d - 2
Run it
- Edit .env and fill in OPENAI_API_KEY, OPENAI_BASE_URL, and OPENAI_MODEL_NAME
- Start with docker compose up -d and open http://127.0.0.1:8000 and log in
- In account management, export your Xianyu login state with the Chrome extension named in the README and paste it in
- Create a task, bind an account, and run it
- 3
Get the most out of it
- Set WEB_USERNAME and WEB_PASSWORD, since the default admin/admin123 should be changed for production
- Configure one or more notification channels such as NTFY_TOPIC_URL, BARK_URL, or TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKEN
- Use proxy rotation settings (PROXY_POOL, PROXY_ROTATION_ENABLED) to handle failures
- Use Cron scheduling for recurring checks instead of running manually
- Use the AI task mode with a detailed requirement description to let the model generate the judging criteria
Downloads
Strengths
- Includes a web management UI for tasks, accounts, logs, and results
- Supports many notification channels and scheduled runs
- Docker setup is documented, and the Chromium browser is bundled in the image
Trade-offs
- Depends on a Xianyu login state exported from a browser extension, which may expire or trigger risk controls according to the README
- Requires an external AI API key and a model that accepts images, which can carry cost
- The README states the project is provided as-is with no warranty and that users must follow Xianyu's terms
