What it is
lark-cli is the official command-line tool from the larksuite team for the Lark/Feishu workplace platform. It lets you work with Messenger, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Mail, Tasks, Meetings and other Lark areas from a terminal, using commands such as lark-cli calendar +agenda. It is also designed so AI agents can call the same commands through a set of bundled agent Skills.
- Check your calendar agenda or find free time from the terminal
- Send or reply to messages and search chat history
- Create, read, or update Docs and Sheets data
- Query tasks, approvals, or meeting records
Great for
- Developers who want to script Lark/Feishu tasks from a terminal
- Teams automating calendar, messaging, or document workflows
- People who want an AI agent to operate Lark with structured commands
- Enterprise IT teams embedding the CLI in their own agent platform (README describes this path)
Not ideal for
- Users who only need the Lark web or mobile app, since this is a terminal tool
- Anyone without a Lark/Feishu account and app credentials, because setup requires them
- Teams needing a non-Lark platform integration

Strengths
- Official tool maintained by the larksuite team, under the MIT license
- Covers many Lark business areas with 200+ commands according to the README
- Includes structured output and bundled AI agent Skills
Trade-offs
- Requires app credential setup and a browser-based login before real use
- Some README sections were truncated, so full command coverage is not verified here
- Install and auth flow involves several steps, which may be confusing for beginners
