What it is

This is a curated collection of AI agent projects, use cases, and example code, organized by framework (such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, and Agno) and by industry (such as healthcare, finance, and education). It mainly points you to other open-source projects where you can see how AI agents are applied in practice. The README also includes a quick-start example that runs one sample agent from the agents/ folder.

  • Browse industry examples such as healthcare or finance agents to see how agents are applied
  • Compare LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Agno and LlamaIndex using the framework comparison table
  • Run a sample agent from the agents/ folder after adding your own API key
  • Pick a linked project to study or adapt for your own prototype

Great for

  • Developers choosing or comparing an AI agent framework
  • Students who want real examples of agent architectures
  • Teams looking for industry-specific agent examples to study
  • Researchers surveying the agent landscape

Not ideal for

  • People who want a finished product to use directly, since most entries link to separate projects of varying maturity
  • Non-programmers, because the examples require Python and API keys
  • Anyone needing verified quality, since the README does not describe how entries are vetted beyond a contribution guide

    Clone the repo

    git clone https://github.com/ashishpatel26/500-AI-Agents-Projects.git

Enter the folder and open a sample agent

    cd 500-AI-Agents-Projects && cd agents/01-web-research-agent

    Install the sample agent's requirements

    pip install -r requirements.txt

    Create your environment file

    cp .env.example .env
  2. 2

    Run it

    • Clone the repository and change into it
    • Open agents/01-web-research-agent
    • Install requirements with pip
    • Add your API key to the .env file
    • Run python agent.py
  3. 3

Get the most out of it

    • Use the framework comparison table to choose a starting framework before exploring examples

    • Check each linked project's own README and license before reusing its code
    • Read CONTRIBUTION.md if you want to add your own agent

Downloads

Strengths

  • Broad coverage of frameworks and industries in one place
  • Includes a framework comparison table to help with first choices
  • Sample agents are described as self-contained with their own requirements files

Trade-offs

  • Most entries link to outside repositories whose quality and maintenance vary and are not described here
  • The 500+ count and 'production examples' claim are not backed by details in the README excerpt
  • Sample code requires an API key from a model provider, which may cost money
