How to use the Morph PPT 3D Models agent skill
Updated · written with AI from the project's own documentation and checked against our catalogue data
The morph-ppt-3d skill lets an AI agent build a PowerPoint (.pptx) presentation that includes a 3D model in .glb format and smooth Morph transitions between slides. It extends a base morph-ppt skill with camera moves, model-content layout rules, and colour and font guidance. This guide explains what the skill does, how to install it, how to ask for a deck in plain language, and what to check for safety before you run it.
Quick start
- 1Check the requirements. Confirm you have internet access, Python 3 and curl, and that the base morph-ppt skill is available. The skill needs all of these.
- 2Install OfficeCLI. Run the curl command on macOS or Linux, or the PowerShell command on Windows. Then run officecli --version to confirm it works.
- 3Install the skill. Download the morph-ppt-3d ZIP from the directory page and unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/ or a project's .claude/skills/ folder. Or upload it under Settings → Capabilities → Skills in the Claude apps.
- 4Prepare or find a model. Place a .glb file in your working folder, or ask the agent to suggest and search for a model for your topic. Convert other formats to .glb first.
- 5Confirm the model choice. Review the candidate models, their licences and preview links, then choose one. The agent will not download a model until you confirm.
- 6Ask for the deck. Describe your presentation topic and ask for a .pptx with a 3D model and Morph transitions. Check the output before you share it.
What the skill makes the agent do
Once the skill is installed, the agent can produce a .pptx file that shows a 3D model on the slides and moves between slides with Morph transitions. The skill adds 3D-specific behaviour on top of the morph-ppt skill, including GLB model insertion, a cinematographic camera, layout built around the model, and an enriched visual design system with colour palettes and font pairings.
The base morph-ppt skill is listed as a required foundation. It is not included in the skill files, so you need it available as well. The morph-ppt-3d skill states that all morph-ppt rules apply in full.
Install the skill from the ZIP or the Claude apps
Download the ZIP for the morph-ppt-3d skill from the directory page and unzip it. For a personal install, place the unzipped skill folder in ~/.claude/skills/. For a single project, place it in that project's .claude/skills/ folder.
If you use the Claude apps, you can upload the skill instead. Open Settings, go to Capabilities, then Skills, and upload the skill there.
- Personal install: ~/.claude/skills/
- Project install: .claude/skills/ inside your project folder
- Claude apps: Settings → Capabilities → Skills
Install the OfficeCLI tool the skill needs
The skill uses the OfficeCLI command-line tool to build the presentation. If the officecli command is missing, install it with the command for your system. On macOS or Linux, use the curl command. On Windows, use the PowerShell command.
Check the install with the version command. If your terminal does not find officecli straight away, open a new terminal so PATH updates. If the install fails, the source says you can download a binary from the OfficeCLI GitHub releases page.
curl -fsSL https://d.officecli.ai/install.sh | bash
irm https://d.officecli.ai/install.ps1 | iex
officecli --versionCheck what you need before you start
The skill needs a few things on your machine and online. It needs the OfficeCLI tool, internet access for web and Sketchfab searches and model downloads, Python 3 (used in the Sketchfab search snippet), and curl. It also needs the base morph-ppt skill installed alongside it.
The skill can run scripts and uses the network, so check that your environment allows both before you install.
- OfficeCLI command-line tool
- Internet access for searches and downloads
- Python 3
- curl
- Base morph-ppt skill
Ask for a deck with a natural request
You do not need special syntax. Describe the presentation you want and mention that you want a 3D model and Morph transitions. The skill is meant to be triggered when a user wants a .pptx with a .glb model and Morph transitions.
If you already have a .glb file, say so and put it in the same working folder as the build files. The skill expects the model, the .pptx and the build script to sit in one working directory.
- Product launch: 'Make a 5-slide launch deck for my coffee brand with a rotating 3D model of a coffee machine, using Morph transitions.'
- Topic talk: 'Build a short presentation on the solar system with a 3D planet model and Morph transitions between slides.'
- Existing model: 'I have product.glb in this folder. Make a 4-slide product showcase with Morph transitions.'
Get a 3D model if you do not have one
Only .glb files are supported. If you have .fbx, .obj, .blend, .usdz or .gltf, the skill asks you to convert the file to .glb first, for example by exporting from Blender.
If you have no model, give the agent your topic. It suggests a type of model that fits the topic and can search free sources such as Sketchfab, Poly Pizza and the Khronos glTF sample models. It presents two or three candidates with source, preview link, licence and reason for choosing it. It will not download anything until you confirm your choice.
The Khronos sample models are downloaded from a fixed GitHub path. The source lists examples such as Duck, Fox and Avocado. After download, the skill checks that the file exists, is not empty, has a .glb extension, and is under 50MB.
- Only .glb is supported for insertion
- Candidates are shown before any download
- Sketchfab login may be required for some downloads
curl -L -o model.glb "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/KhronosGroup/glTF-Sample-Assets/main/Models/Fox/glTF-Binary/Fox.glb"Safety notes on scripts and network access
This skill runs scripts and uses the internet. It installs OfficeCLI with a script piped from the internet, runs a Python snippet to read Sketchfab search results, and downloads model files. Review the install commands and confirm you trust the source before you run them, especially on a work machine.
The skill lists licence information for models, but it does not check reuse rights for you. Confirm the licence of any model before using it in a public or commercial presentation. Do not use it where downloading files or running install scripts from the internet is not permitted.
- Install scripts run from d.officecli.ai and are piped straight into a shell
- Model downloads come from third-party sites
- Confirm each model's licence before public or commercial use
Tips for better results
Give a specific topic and a model type, because the skill builds the model layout around it. A clear subject such as a fox mascot or an electric car gives the agent an easier choice than a broad theme.
Keep the model file size small. The skill rejects files over 50MB, and large models add download time. Plan extra time for searches and downloads if you let the agent find a model for you.
- Name the model type in your request, such as 'coffee machine' rather than 'coffee'
- Prepare your .glb in advance if you already have one
- Check licences before you publish the deck
What people use it for
- A product launch deck with a rotating 3D model of the product
- A school or university talk on a science topic, using a 3D model of the subject
- A pitch or brand presentation built around a mascot or character model
Frequently asked questions
How do I install the morph-ppt-3d skill?
Download the ZIP from the directory page and unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/ for personal use, or into a project's .claude/skills/ folder. In the Claude apps, you can instead upload it under Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
What do I need to run the morph-ppt-3d skill?
You need the OfficeCLI command-line tool, internet access, Python 3, curl, and the base morph-ppt skill. The base skill is not included in the skill files, so install it separately.
Is the morph-ppt-3d skill free?
The skill is published under the Apache-2.0 licence, as listed on the source page. The 3D models it finds have their own licences, which you need to check yourself before reuse.
What file formats does the skill accept for 3D models?
Only .glb files are supported. For .fbx, .obj, .blend, .usdz or .gltf files, the skill asks you to convert to .glb first, for example by exporting from Blender.
Can the agent find a 3D model for me?
Yes. It suggests a model type for your topic and searches sources such as Sketchfab, Poly Pizza and the Khronos glTF samples. It shows you candidates and waits for your confirmation before downloading.
What should I do if the officecli command is not found?
Open a new terminal so PATH can update, then run officecli --version again. If the install still fails, download a binary from the OfficeCLI GitHub releases page and try again.

Our verdict
Use this skill if you want a visually striking .pptx with a 3D model and Morph transitions, and you can meet the requirements for OfficeCLI, internet access and the base morph-ppt skill. Pick a different approach if you only need plain slides, if you cannot run install scripts or download files from the internet, or if you need models with licences you cannot verify quickly.
