How to use khazix-skills: install and run the six Agent Skills
Updated · written with AI from the project's own documentation and checked against our catalogue data
khazix-skills is an open-source collection of six Agent Skills written by the author of the Chinese AI blog 数字生命卡兹克. Each skill is a SKILL.md instruction file that an AI coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex can load to carry out a specific task. This guide explains what the skills are, how to get them into your agent, and how to decide which ones are worth trying.
Quick start
- 1Check your agent. Confirm you use an agent that supports Agent Skills, such as Claude Code or Codex. Without one, the skills have little use.
- 2Pick a skill. Choose the skill that fits your task, for example neat-freak for tidying project docs or hv-analysis for research.
- 3Install the skill. Ask your agent to install the skill using the GitHub folder URL shown in the README, replacing the placeholder with the skill name.
- 4Or clone the repository. Run git clone on the repository if you want all six skills locally to read or reuse.
- 5Say a trigger phrase. Use one of the example phrases from the README, such as /neat or 帮我看看存储, to start the skill.
- 6Review what the agent proposes. Check the agent's output before confirming any change, especially deletions or file updates.
What khazix-skills contains
The repository holds six skills. Each one is a structured instruction set that an Agent Skills-compatible agent can load directly. The README says they follow the open Agent Skills standard, and that agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Qoder, Kimi Code, iFlow, CodeBuddy and Cursor can install them, which it describes as 40+ supported agents.
- leader (领导): helps turn a vague idea into a clear goal brief for long-running agent work
- storage-analyzer (清理垃圾): scans a Mac or Windows disk and shows a three-colour cleanup list in the browser
- aihot (AI HOT 资讯查询): fetches the AI HOT daily digest and AI news from aihot.news, with no API key needed
- neat-freak (洁癖): after a session, aligns project docs, CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md and agent memory
- hv-analysis (横纵分析法): produces a long PDF research report on a product, company or concept
- khazix-writer (卡兹克写作): a writing-style skill tied to the author's own voice
Install the skills in Claude Code or Codex
The README's documented install method is to ask your agent to install a skill from its folder URL. Replace the placeholder with the skill you want, such as neat-freak, hv-analysis or khazix-writer. The agent then clones it into the right directory.
If your agent does not support Skills, the README says you can download the SKILL.md file from the skill's folder and give it to the agent as a project rule file or paste it into the chat. The README says this gives the same result.
- Make sure your agent supports Agent Skills, for example Claude Code or Codex.
- Pick one skill folder, for example the neat-freak folder.
- Ask the agent to install it using the folder URL from the README.

If you want every skill locally, for example to read the SKILL.md files, you can clone the whole repository. The README lists this as the install step for the repository itself.
- Clone the repository to your machine.
- Open the folders to read each SKILL.md file.
git clone https://github.com/KKKKhazix/khazix-skillsTrigger a skill with a phrase or command
Each skill lists the phrases that activate it. Some have a direct command, such as /neat for neat-freak. Others respond to plain language. The README lists example trigger phrases for every skill, so you can simply say one of them to your agent.
neat-freak is meant only for project knowledge clean-up. The README says pure coding tasks, or requests like organising data or weekly reports, will not trigger it.
Use storage-analyzer safely
storage-analyzer is the skill most likely to touch your files, so the README's safety rules matter. It scans read-only and does not act on its own. Its report groups items by colour: green items are pure cache and can be cleared by the agent, yellow items contain user data and only offer Finder or Trash actions, and red items are core app or system data that can only be opened, never deleted.
Deletions only run after you click a button in the browser and confirm a second prompt. The README says macOS was fully tested, while Windows code is ready but should be used with caution the first time.
- Green: cache and temp files, safe to clear
- Yellow: user data, you decide
- Red: system or running app data, view only
Read the SKILL.md files as examples
Even if you never run the skills, the SKILL.md files show how the author structures agent instructions. The leader skill, for example, lists the questions it asks before writing a goal brief, and neat-freak lists the three layers of files it updates. This makes the repository useful as reference material for writing your own agent instructions.
What people use it for
- Clean up project documentation and agent memory after a coding session with neat-freak
- Write a clear goal brief before letting an agent run a long task with leader
- Find out which large folders on a Mac are safe to clear with storage-analyzer
- Fetch the day's AI news digest into your agent with the aihot skill
- Generate a long PDF research report on a company or product with hv-analysis
Frequently asked questions
Is khazix-skills free to use?
The repository is released under the MIT licence, as stated in the README. The README says you can use, modify and redistribute it freely under that licence. Your agent or any services it calls may have their own terms.
What do I need to run khazix-skills?
The README lists one prerequisite: an AI agent that supports Agent Skills, such as Claude Code or Codex. The skills are instructions for agents, so they have little use on their own.
Does khazix-skills work with agents other than Claude Code?
The README says the skills follow the Agent Skills standard and can be installed in 40+ compatible agents. It names Qoder, Kimi Code, iFlow, CodeBuddy and Cursor, among others. If your agent does not support Skills, you can paste the SKILL.md content into it instead.
Is there an English version of the documentation?
The main README is in Chinese. The README links to a separate English file, README.en.md, for English readers. The SKILL.md files themselves are written in Chinese for the author's use.
Can I use khazix-writer to write in a general style?
Not really. The README says khazix-writer is opinionated and built around the author's own voice, and it rejects several common phrases. If you want a general-purpose writing style, it is not designed for that.
Is it safe to let storage-analyzer delete files?
The README says the scan is read-only and deletions require you to click a button and confirm a browser prompt. Yellow and red items are never deleted directly. Still, the README advises caution on Windows, where the code is less tested than on macOS.
What are alternatives to khazix-skills?
The repository's comparison section lists no comparable projects. For a disk cleaner, the README itself mentions CleanMyMac as a rule-based app that storage-analyzer is positioned against.

Our verdict
khazix-skills suits developers who already use Claude Code, Codex or another Agent Skills-compatible agent, and readers who want the author's Chinese writing or research workflows. It is less useful if you have no AI agent, need English documentation, or want a neutral writing style. Read the SKILL.md files even if you never install them, since they are a practical example of agent instructions.
